Please note that Oh Happy Day is a team of two sisters. We are often in the field but will get back to you in a timely manner.

 

Add-on Services:

 

Please notify us in advance if you want any add-on services added to your next clean. This will give us time to schedule the extra time needed to complete that task, or we can discuss which of our routine tasks could be swapped out so there’s no extra expense.


Rescheduling, Cancellations & Lock-outs:

Service fees


When a cancellation occurs within less than 24 hours notice, we will charge 20% of the estimated cleaning time or fixed rate.


If we arrive at a confirmed clean and there is no access to running water or electricity, we will charge 20% of the estimated cleaning time or fixed rate.


This helps cover a small portion of lost revenue.

Rescheduling a routine clean:

 

Please give us at least 48 hours notice (call or text) in the event that you would like to reschedule. Please understand that it is likely that there will not be an open availability to reschedule until your next scheduled clean.

Rescheduling a one time or move in/move out clean:

​

Please give us at least 48 hours notice (call or text) in the event that you would like to reschedule. 


Cancellation:

​

In the event you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible (call or text). This gives us time to try to fill your cleaning slot.

Sick policy:

 

To protect our health and the health of our other clients, we will not clean your home if anyone has a contagious illness (cold, flu, fever, etc). Please call to cancel as soon as possible & we will do the same on our end. Don't hesitate to call if you are uncertain and we can discuss.

COVID policy:

 

Let's keep one another healthy! We have been vaccinated and boosted. Should there be another mask mandate we will mask up while cleaning your home. If you would prefer that we wear a mask regardless, please let us know. Communication is key.

Cigarette smoke policy:

 

We are highly sensitive to cigarette smoke and therefore do not clean in environments where indoor smoking or outdoor smoking within our proximity occurs. We do not clean nicotine smoke residue or tar off of surfaces.


Holidays & severe weather:

 

We will contact you at least two weeks in advance to reschedule your clean if it falls on a day that we have reserved for time off.

 

If the roads are unsafe on the day of your clean, we will call to reschedule. If you know that the roads surrounding your home are inaccessible due to severe weather, please call to reschedule. 


Pets:

 

We love animals and don’t mind working with them in the home. They will need to be kept away in a secure area if they are at all aggressive.  


Surfaces/damage:

 

Please notify us if there is a surface in your home that needs a specific kind of cleaning agent other than what we use or if you want us to avoid cleaning it. If you have any questions, give us a call. We will assume that all surfaces are appropriately sealed (countertops, floors) and can be cleaned with our cleaning products unless otherwise notified. 


Although we do not expect for this to occur, accidents can happen and we reserve the right to try to repair or replace items that are accidentally damaged before monetary settlement. We are insured.


Safety:

 

We will do our best to dust high surfaces with extendable dusters and clean high surfaces, but we will not climb to heights above a 2 ft step ladder to clean.

 
We will do our best to clean under heavy objects/furniture, but we will not move heavy objects/furniture. 


We will clean around but will not move any potentially fragile or irreplaceable objects or expensive electronics. Let us know if you have any concerns or questions!


Our services do not include cleaning high-clutter surfaces/floors, so if you’d like a high-clutter area cleaned, please tidy up those areas in advance.


We work up a sweat when cleaning, so we may ask permission to adjust the temperature in your home while we are there. We will reset the temperature upon leaving.
